Jesus called to Philip, “follow me.” He followed and his life was forever changed. This is the same call he gives us. We learn to follow Jesus when we study his Word, meditate on it, pray about it, and learn to live it. We invite you to join us to learn from God’s Word together.
Sunday Morning Bible Study
Sundays 9:15-10:15 am
This is our largest Bible Study opportunity and it’s held Sundays between the services in the gymnasium. Come and join us as we walk through a book of the Bible or learn how to approach difficulties in the Christian life with relevant parts of Scripture. Invite a friend; this Bible study appeals to new believer as well as seasoned Christians.
Two or Three on Tuesday
This reprise of the Sunday Bible study is held in the Salem Hearth Room. It’s a more intimate environment to study the same section we examined the previous Sunday.
Two C’s and a B
The second Saturday of every month at 10:00 am
God has certainly blessed women in many ways, but there are still so many challenges to living life as a Christian woman. The second Saturday of every month the ladies of Salem can meet at 10:00am in the Hearth room for “Coffee, Christ, and Bakery” (2C’s and a B). In these intimate studies women can learn from God’s Word in a relevant way while enjoying coffee and bakery—and some fellowship with other Christian women too! Give it a try, you’ll be glad you came.
Ironmen of God
3rd Saturday of each month
FREE breakfast at 8:00am and Bible Study from 8:30-9:30am.
It seems like no matter where you turn it’s tough to find a godly man. Join us for a free breakfast at 8:00am at the Comfort Suites at 10831 W Park Place. Then we’ll dive into God’s wisdom for men from 8:30-9:30. This is a low-stress way to learn about what God’s Word has to say to men today. If you’re unsure, come check it out or even invite a friend.
Sundays during the school year 9:15-10:15am
Sunday school for school-age kids takes place between the services on Sunday as well. Take the children to Sunday School and then sit down with a cup of coffee in the Sunday Morning Bible Study. Your child will learn a Bible story and do a fun learning activity while you study with the adults.

Students in 7th and 8th grade who want to become adult members at Salem will prepare for the Lutheran rite of confirmation. It’s a two-year course of study that covers the 6 chief parts of Luther’s Catechism: The 10 Commandments, the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, Holy Baptism, the Ministry of the Keys, and the Lord’s Supper. For students not enrolled in Salem Lutheran School these classes typically take place during the week. Contact Pastor John for more details.
